Article 1. (Names and codes)
In all regulations, registers, forms, maps and digital services of the Republic, districts are listed under the following names and codes:
1. Višnjik District — VI; 2. District of Breka — BR; 3. Logavina District — LO.
Article 2. (Rule for Future Districts)
(1) The district code consists of the first two letters of its official name, in capital Latin letters.
(2) If the same code as that of the existing district were to be created, the Assembly determines a unique code of no more than three letters by decision on establishment or renaming.
(3) The code is an administrative designation and does not change the historical or official name of the district.
Article 3. (Replacement of earlier codes)
(1) The previous designations of districts cease to be used on the date of entry into force of this law.
(2) Competent authorities shall carry out automatic redirection within 30 days and preserve the historical mark exclusively in archive data.
Article 4 (District Councils)
(1) Earlier provisions on district councils, their mandates, elections, competences or bodies cease to be valid.
(2) Existing councils, if registered, cease to operate on the day of publication of this law; their public documents and records are transferred to the central archive.
Article 5 (Adjustment)
The Official Gazette publishes the revised text of the Law on Territorial Organization within 30 days.
